The AF-P DX NIKKOR 70-300mm f/4.5-6.3G ED lens included in this kit should work very well for pictures of the moon. It gives you enough reach to get very nice detailed shots. Pair this camera and lens combo with a tripod and you should have no issue getting great moon pictures.
