“Hi, I'm new at photography and just got the Nikon d5600 , I have a question I'm hoping you could help me out with, once I retract the lens and look through the viewfinder it's extremely unclear, even after I play around with the dial.”

Well i know when i first started to mess with it i had to adjust the little wheel right by the view finder to make it clear. Either that or it's not focused on the lens or your need to hold button down for auto focus.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.The Nikon AF-P 18-55mm lens, once retracted, will not allow you to use the viewfinder or live view to take an image. In order to see clearly through the viewfinder and take a picture, open the lens to the 18mm marked on the barrel.
