The D5600 is a slight upgrade to the D3500, with improved focusing, a tilting touch screen LCD, Bluetooth and Wifi connectivity. It is a tiny bit heavier and uses up a little more battery. I just bought a D5600 for my husband and he loves it. I find the tilting screen easier to use than the fixed screen (on the D3500). Both are great cameras.
