The games have to support handheld mode. If the game requires the controllers to be removed, you can only play them on the Lite if you have separate BlueTooth controllers. You can also not plug this into a TV.

Yes it will most game work just like the regular switch some don’t but it’s a small number of them

Hello, yes, all games "work" on the switch lite.
All handheld games will work. (check the back of the box or scroll down on eShop to check if your game supports handheld mode).
For games that do not work with handheld mode, such as Ring Fit Adventure, you will need separate controllers. You must also have a charger for the separate controllers.
