It's somewhere between a soft and hard case. There doesn't seem to be much room for the switch to move around, it will probably protect it from a drop but I would be hesitant to say your switch will escape damage if you drop the case on the street or sit on it.

It’s ok. I wouldn’t say it sturdy. If you drop your switch often then I recommend looking for a more sturdier case.

Yes. So far so good for me. Only had it for a short amount of time but I was able to throw it in my carry on with other things and it was fine.

The front and backsides have a hard outer layer but I wouldn't say it gives max protection. The sides where the zippers are are well padded but not sturdy. It for sure covers the basics but I'd use this for putting into a backpack not on it's own if you're rough with your Switch.
