You can purchase from the eshop, buy games, or use games you already own for the original switch.

If you play physical copies of games you can use the same cartridge in the game slot each system has, and if you have a Nintendo Online subscription, you can sync your saves to the cloud. As for digital, you can use your Nintendo account to log in to the Nintendo Eshop pre-installed on all Switch consoles and download the games. The only caveat is that your non-primary account has to authenticate your account every once in a while.
