It is capable of Wi-Fi calling, but Wi-Fi calling is a carrier dependent feature. It looks like current post paid plans on both At&T and T-Mobile give you access to this feature, but if you are using a pre-paid sim card from those carriers or any of their MVNO's (Cricket, Metro etc.) you will need to check with them to see if your plan allows it.
