When you purchased in the retail store, you were buying a recurring subscription that automatically renews each year after the initial term. If you choose to disable automatic renewal feature, your subscription will continue to work for the period you subscribed however, it will not get renewed automatically when it expires. Thanks!

Please try again later.First of all: you need to have Norton account, for free. -The automatic renewal(subsription) is always ON when you installed it. -Then after installing Norton already-Log in your Norton account again if you logged out-In "my account" (arrowdown-v),scroll to my subsctiption, then tick it off the automatic subscription.Now the automatic renewal does not work any more. Norton will notice you several days before the end of one year period.But it only automatically renew when you click the blue (renew now or turn on the automatic subscriptionyearly).Or you can disregard this notice. Before Some days of the one year subscription period.Buy any norton, Mc Affee,etc.. you want then install it.The new one will automatically replace the expired one with new product keys. I have been doing this many years,many time, not only with norton but with other antivirus or internet security software as well.As far as I know , norton support also shows you how to do this as same as I above mentioned Good luck
