“I've got an Alienware aurora r6. Intel I7-7700 (the original one that came with the r6). Will that CPU be good enough? Currently checking the power supply to see if I need more watts. I also don't know if it will fit in r6 case. Current GPU is GTX 1070.”

It will be enough for any current generation games. Some games will provide CPU and GPU render individually, such as newer Forza titles so you can judge if any frames are being lost to CPU. May be a future need for upgrade down the line. The founders edition should fit in your case, but you will be upgrading that stock Dell power supply as I'm almost certain it's under 500W and you need at least 650W for this card. Based on the 3080 power demands, you WILL want that 650W. Should be able to upgrade without swapping a case though!
