It really sucks when others spread misinformation. Nvidia recommends a 750W PSU for a system with an Intel Core i9-10900k which can pull up to 130W by itself. The Ryzen 5 3600 only pulls around 50-60W. So could a 500W work? Maybe. I would do at least 600W to be safe.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The recommended is 750 Watt so it wouldn't be a good idea. The 3500 should be okay, but there may be a little bottlenecking particularly at extremely high FPS.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.NVIDIA has recommended a minimum of a 750W power supply. Your CPU is at the lower end of support for 1080p but higher resolutions will be more dependent on the GPU.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's recommended that you use at least a 750w power supply. Chances are with your CPU and the 3080 and everything else you're using (fans, rbg, ssds/hard drives, etc) will surpass 500w, which could result in damaging components. If you are playing at 1080p or even some 1440p titles that CPU could bottleneck. I would look to a 3070 with that CPU, it would be more balanced with it. But even with that GPU you would need at least a 650w power supply.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Tom's Hardware ran a story a couple of days ago, right before this dropped, that tested some very old tech, though not your CPU specifically. Think i7-4790 LGA1150. Yes, there was bottlenecking, but not as much as the author thought there'd be. The recommendation was that if you're still rocking Nvidia 10xx or earlier technology, it'd still be worth picking this up and upgrading the rest of the gear later. But definitely upgrade. If I can ever get my hands on one of these, that's my plan. No one's recommending a 500watt PSU for these cards. Start shopping for 750+ depending on the rest of your rig's requirements.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No definitely not. A quick google search shows you need at minimum at 750W PSU but I would recommend you buy an 850W. As for the CPU. Bottlenecking has a minimal performance effect. You're better off buying a higher resolution monitor to solve the bottleneck that way. It'll make your eyes happy and save yourself some money.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Hello, The answer is No. Nvidia recommends at least a 750W PSU It will definitely bottleneck
