• For most apps yes. The ones preloaded no . I think amazon video and Netflix are preloaded

• No google account required just for using the shield TV. I primarily use mine for Plex and Netflix and have not had to enter my google information yet. Hope this helps!

• A google account is required to set up your Nvidia Shield. Just create a new one if you don't have one or don't want to use your main Google account.
