It will upscale live tv and shows from Amazon Prime, Netflix, Vudu, Disney+ and other popular streaming apps to near 4k with the AI enhancement feature. The picture is excellent and has deeper colors. In terms of picture quality, it is better than Apple TV or Amazon Fire TV which have the same spec as Dolby Vision and HDR 10 because of the upscaling feature. It works as advertised.

• A:Answer I have not tried to use a Firestick for comparison. However I do own both the Shield Pro and the Shield TV (barrel). I like the barrel much better. It has worked flawlessly. You will have to sign in to google to download apps. I also use VPN for my own satisfaction. But it has proven to be the Best Android device I’ve owned. That has been a lot of units over the last 5 years.
