Besides gaming and streaming, support for Dolby Atmos is something I enjoy that Nvidia Shield offers. I have a subscription to Tidal, which has a library of music that has been mixed specifically for Dolby Atmos. Also, since the shield uses Android TV, there are quite apps available for it through the Google Play Store. Chromecast is built-in to the device as well and is a great hub for casting media.
