• yes, but with the new version of Android TV they have made it harder. Youtube Easy Fire Tools it allow you to transfer your Android apps from another Android device directly to the Shield.

• I’m sure you will be using google play store to down load your apps... if there’s other apps you want to download gonna have to use YouTube to load others you like...

• Yes. The downloader app was bought out by Troypoint and is once again available in play store, or you can go to the Troypoint webpage and download his "Rapid App Installer" (it's like Filelinked, but much more secure/safe). He has many more apps available for download from his site. Key word here is; TRUSTED!
