It doesn't have a built in app that will give you that capability. You can easily install an app that shows you the usage. Your router should have that feature as well. Not sure how many TVs or how much streaming you do. But this device by itself is not going to add anything more to eat up more data. The only difference would be if you start using Dolby vision and atmos capable streaming. But 1TB is generally still fine. I have 2 TVs that stream Netflix, Disney and Hulu W ery day. I have not come close to the data cap. I can see it happening if you leave all open on multiple tvs for most of the day.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have a different streaming device I have set up to turn off when TV turns off so no background downloads. Per the other answers, you should be ok at 1TB but if you start to get close with 4k content you just need to turn the power off when not in use. I played with this tube device and it boots up pretty quickly if you have to go that route. I turn on device and TV on my other non nvidia device and know I will have a 30 second delay while everything boots up and ok with it. That said, I may upgrade to this device as it's faster and the expandable storage.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There isn't a setting that I could find in the menus for any bandwidth limitations. This may be something you can configure on your modem or router though.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. No, but if you have a fairly new router you should be able to cap data with that.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I average 400GB monthly on my shield as a streaming platform.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Your streaming habits are your own and not the Shield product.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. We have 1TB cap and stream a ton from it (entire family) in 4K and only get to about half the cap
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I sure haven't seen a setting. I am fairly sure you can find an app that will work. Just know that this is a 4K streamer and when you start streaming 4K content, data use skyrockets.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. That cap is based on how much streaming you are going to be doing... gaming takes a lot which we already know. Video streaming doesn’t..
