It doesn't matter, use any output of your tv to conect to the system. Each input has a couple types of connections. Then conect to an input of your tv for changing settings. I recommend leaving it conected for a little while, you will make multiple changes before your are done.

Please try again later.just plug your receiver hdmi out main to your projector so that you can view the menus for setup. also, there is an app that you can use as well (app is necessary for dirac setup). all your sources will need to be plugged into your receiver for you to get home theater sound.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You dont need audio optical for set up. The reciever just passes video signal thru. Itll take the audio from your device and output to the speakers. It would not pass audio if it was a tv the didnt support arc and you wanted to use lets say the netflix app from the smart tv to play thru the speakers hooked up to the reciever. If that makes sense.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You can ise another T.V. For set up, I would do it in the same room your projector is in, since you need to calibrate your speakers. If your projector has as hdmi port you should still be able to hook up to it.
