“11.2 setup - not working. Tried as per manual where back surrounds go to external amp which connects onkyo via preouts RCA cable and height 2 to the onkyo internal amp's surround back straight. But thats not working. Please help if anyone has it working”

you also have to select the 7.1.4 configuration in the receiver setup. after doing that, you can verify by using the speaker level setup that all 7.1.4 speakers are good. Alternate test is to use an Xbox, download the dolby atmos app and run thru the speaker test there.
