“Does the Air 2 base unit have to be connected to a modem/router with an ethernet cable, or can it be configured to be totally wireless? Is it possible to connect a splitter to an incoming TV cable, and then connect the ethernet cable? Would that work?”

• You can connect it wireless with the wireless adapter that's sold separately.

• It can be totally wireless. I have configured my set up as totally wireless so I do not have cables extending all over my home.
