Will this work for fax and scan? null

Yes, I have it hooked up to my fax machine.

Since the base unit has an RJ-11 phone jack on the back I would say it could send and receive faxes using a stand-alone fax machine. As far as scanning most fax machines can scan documents to be faxed out.
