the USB is not used for video, per the manual "USB Type A supports mouse / service capability"

Please try again later.the short answer is no. from everything I can see those 2 USB ports on the UHD60 model, one is for service the other to provide power to things like mobile phones. as an additional thought. though this UHD60 does not support what you need, Optoma web site does say the their UHD51A adn UHD50 (both 4K UHD projectors) both have a media player built in and that USB port would support an external 4K player.
