Not "true 4k" since this does the pixel shifting. Unless you want to spend like 4 to 8 grand, this is about all you'll find. For most people, myself included, the difference is negligible. Go to avsforum.com and there is a very long thread about this. I love this projector. Looks awesome playing video games at 130" in 4k. :)
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I have read this too. If this projector is not 4K, It is close. I have a 4K TV that is not HDR. I got this projector for it and it does HDR nicely. It also has an upscale SDR to HDR function that does an amazing job. A 100" 4K TV would cost upwards of $60K. This projector gives me reasonable 4K at 105" for less than $2K. For the money, you would not go wrong.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Mine looks great. I guess it depends if the other folks actually hooked up real 4K source ( not a 4K upscaler) and used high quality hdmi cords. I hooked a 4K tuner directly into the back initially before I had a chance to run my hdmi cables, definition on streaming material was outstanding. I have watched several 4K dvds so far and the detail is outstanding
