Why is there a monthly charge for eve if I own it null

It’s not fair you should not have to pay if you own it

Like all satellite providers, they pay a fee to the channel suppliers, so they pass that on to their customers.

Because it is not a stand alone DVR. Is their equipment. You can buy a stand alone device that will hook up to your cable coming in, but a lot more expensive. You can add it to your monthly payment or change it the next month. It works for me. Hope this helps you.
