The local channels are delivered through an off air TV antenna that is attached to the satellite dish. If you live fairly far away from broadcast towers this might affect your ability to get local channels. You can try turning the antenna in small increments and running a channel scan to see if this improves (the antenna...NOT the satellite dish). You could also invest in a much larger outdoor antenna to bring in the locals.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.You could try repositioning your antenna. When mine was first installed it would only pic up 4 local channels. After I repositioned it I was able to pick up 12. Of course you have to go through the channel search again. That worked for me.

And the one thing that Orby promises is that even if you decide to cancel your service two months from now, your local channels will remain free. So ABC, NBC, CBS, etc. along with your local pbs channel(s) should all tune in when the Satellite antenna is setup.
