go to orbytv.com and you can put in your address to see what, if any, local channels you can likely receive. From South Dakota you would point the dish generally SSW. You don't have to use the Orby TV antenna (even though it comes for free). You can use your own TV antenna for local channels if you live farther away and need a larger one. You just tell the installer.
