No, belt clip. But I have dropped it a few times and no damage to phone. Really can't say which one is more durable in taking "heavy drops"....

This case does not come with a clip. This case has worked great on my Samsung s8. The defender doesn't have a front cover as well so you might as well go with the commuter if you don't need the belt clip.

The commuter is a pretty basic case with no attachments of any kind. The defender is also a great case that will help prevent damage very well with drops. BUT don't forget to put a glass cover on the screen.

The Commuter does not come with a belt clip like the Defender. The Defender is better protected from drops, however it is MUCH bulkier than the Commuter series. You have to ask yourself if the trade off of increased bulk for the extra protection is worth it to you.

Commuter does not come with belt clip and is ment for carrying phone in your pocket. Also does not come with built in screen protector like the defender. Defender is rated as better drop protection, but both provide very good protection.
