• The Otterbox Defender for iPad Air will not fit the 2017 latest model iPad 9.7. Bestbuy now has the otterbox defender for the new iPad and it fits perfectly! I had to wait for some time for it to be available but it was worth the wait!

• Yes, this will fit the "latest model" model. Per Otterbox site, this "latest model" is identified as "5th generation" and corresponds to this same product. Enjoy!

• This will ONLY fit the new 9.7 iPad (5th Generation). It will not fit correctly if you have any other version of the iPad.
