• 60 inches is five feet, not six feet. I plug all my Ottlite products into a power strip. It doesn't produce heat so I don't see what that would be a problem.

• I did not measure it, but the cord appears to be about 4 feet long. The cord plugs into an AC outlet, has a built-in adapter to power the LED, and then plugs into the base of the lamp..
