“Can you please tell me if wearing the ring to wash my hands, shower, do dishes will either tarnish the ring or cause it to malfunction? And what about for swimming?”

I wear my ring all the time, including showers, dish washing etc. No issues. I have not swam with the oura ring.

Please try again later.Hi there, The Oura Ring is water-resistant up to 100 meters (~330 feet), meaning that you can wear it while showering, swimming, or partaking in recreational diving (e.g. snorkeling), but we don’t recommend using your ring while scuba diving or keeping it submerged underwater for over 12 hours. If used normally, your ring finish should not tarnish and will function correctly. We do recommend thoroughly drying the skin below your ring after being in water.
