Yes as long as you don't delete it forever. You can delete it and redownload digitals yes. Or if you are worried about deleting it accidently just put a sd card into your switch and keep it downloaded on the card. Digitals take a lot of memory space but you don't have to worry about a cartridge getting lost. So pros and cons to each. I prefer physical so I can sell them down the road and get half my money back. Sony and Microsoft both have online storage and a library to keep your games to download later.

Please try again later.Digital does mean it stays on your system or in the cloud depending on what gaming system it is for but you cannot sell back digital copies or trade them in. I recommend if you are someone who doesn’t plan on keeping games long before their value expires I would stick with hard copies but if you are someone who more than likely will never sell or trade in games or just prefers the idea of not having to getting up and switching out games it doesn’t hurt to go digital plus you save on plastic.
