If the truck has a factory JBL audio system, this will be needed when replacing the radio with an aftermarket one.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The harness was used to adapt the JBL system in my 2012 Tundra to the Pioneer radio I bought. There are more basic models that have no steering wheel controls, but mine did, and though redundant, I thought to keep them. I also have a backup camera, that since I tow a trailer occasionally, I wanted to keep. So basically, the stereo installers will tell you the harness you need based on the model you have. You will need a harness if your vehicle had a JBL system, regardless.
