• No, it’s just like other air fryers, cooking times are reduced dramatically. It has a browning heater but not broiler. Careful not to get food too close to top heat, Burn or light up. We use convection more often.

• I have not had this problem. You have to clean spatters of course but I found this to be straightforward wiping down of interior. Great product so far.
