• Hello! This model has an Audible Message Alert feature. This feature allows the base unit to beep to inform you of a new message arrival when new messages are recorded. The base unit beeps 2 times every minute until you listen to the messages, if the “Base unit beep” setting is turned on. -M

• Yes. There is an indicator light on the base unit. It will also tell you on the handsets if there is a message if you use a voicemail system instead of the answering machine.
