I'm assuming this is a landline phone with a provider such as ATT or Verizon, etc. Do you still have an old corded phone that you could plug into the wall jack and see if that works? If it works the problem is most likely the panasonic. If the older phone doesn't work you will probably have to call the phone company. Problem may to outside house OR in the house if you have more than one phone outlet. Best Wishes
