Does this system require a smartphone or will it work with a Bluetooth capable flip phone? If it works with a flip phone are there extra steps necessary. We are looking for an elderly person so extra steps are an issue. null

Hi, Kelly! The cellphone needs to have the following in order to establish a standard connection: 
-BT classic and above protocol
-Hands Free Profile (HFP) -  Mandatory
