Yes, this will support being connected directly to the base station landline port. This unit will use the direct connect as if it was being connected directly to any other landline connection. With this type of setup you will not need to program your cell phone to this uint. In fact, any basic home answering machine with remote handsets will work with your Consumer Cellular base station. You do not need one that connects to cell phone service.

Hello. As the phone system was not tested with this service, only with a landline connection, we encourage you to check directly with the telephone service provider for information. Please note that if you encounter issues with the sound or related to Caller ID services when using VoIP, the phone may require a DSL/ADSL filter to be installed on the line by your telephone service provider. -C
