I believe the Phone Book resides in the Base unit and is shared. Once you have made entries in the Phone Book they are available to all hand-sets. I also think speed-dial is unique to each hand-set but can be programmed manually or copied from the phone book to each number on each hand set.

Thank you for your question. You will have create your phonebook entries with a connected handset and the numbers will appear on your base unit as well. Contacts from the base cannot be transferred to handsets.
