• It is easy to get both a "beep" and flashing light on the panasonic phones. here's how you do it. 1. first make sure the answering system is turned on . On phone select menu and type :#327. (#328 turns it off again) 2. to set the base unit to beep when a message is recorded select menu and type #339. The base unit will beep twice every minute until message is listened to. the phone will also blink yellow at the top until message is answered.
