• Yes, you can set both the flashing light and/or set the phone to beep when you have a pending message... see page 46 of the manual.

• There is no beep but in the back of the phone there is a light that flashes. Easy to see if in a spot where it reflects. Otherwise, there is a message on the phone itself telling you you have a voicemail.

• It does not beep but there is a light that reflects behind the phone that lets you know someone has called and possibly left a message.
