“THERE WAS NO ANSWER. My question was: Does every handset have an icon display alert for voicemail messages? And, IF SO, does the icon display alert work with the service provider? I prefer that to the built in answer system.”

• Hello! This model does not have an indicator on the handset, however a notification will be displayed on the screen as following: For voicemail messages (via phone company) : "voicemail msg. via phone company" For answering machine messages: "New message, press PLAY" Additionally, an indicator will blink on the base unit only for answering machine messages.

• The answer is yes there is a notification. on all hand sets, telling you that you have a missed call. I use the provider's voicemail, I do not use the voice mail in the system.
