- Answer No, the display is not lighted when the receiver is in the cradle. We do not need that, as we use it in the living room, not in the bedroom. It lights as soon as you pick it up.

- Answer Indeed ! You can purchase additional handsets online. The base allows you to connect up to 6 ( that's right ), 6 handsets. Depending on the retailer, the handset cost $65-$85.
