• Yes you do need a 3D capable TV in addition to a 3D Bluray Player to watch 3D Bluray Movies.

• The Panasonic 4K 3D player can play 3D movies but to view it, you need a 3D TV also. I bought 2 of these players, one connected to a 55" Panasonic 3D HDTV to view our collections of 3D blurays, and another connected to 65" LG UHDTV (non-3D) just for 4K content.

• I do not know exactly about the tv, but I believe to actually view a 3D image, you would need 3D glasses.
