This UB420 replaced a 20 yr old DVD/CD player. The UB420 was very easy to set up. I watched a few YouTube videos for recommended settings & to get the best performance from this player. Being able to play BR & 4K media is amazing & something our old player & TV didn't allow us to do. We miss the digital display on this unit but certainly not a deal breaker. The UB420 is perfect for non-audiophiles like us who just want to upgrade to a BR/4K player. The UB420 is a quality, well-made product that integrates well into our AV equipment.

For all of you audio/videophiles out there, this is the budget friendly blu-ray player for you! Absolutely great picture quality and audio quality. With all the guts of the UB820, only missing Dolby Vision, this player shines! I've used it with both a Vizio M series and an Epson 6040UB projector and I was blown away with both. Considering getting an Xbox One X or another competitively priced player? Stop thinking and get this.

I wanna start of by stating that i only recommend this player if you own a Samsung tv for 4K HDR/HDR10+(if you own a Sony or an LG you would be better off going for the next model up the up820 since that supports Dolby vision, which Samsung does not support) I would recommend this player if your a big movie fan who likes watching movies in the best format and audio quality posible.

I was looking for an inexpensive 4k Blu-ray player for my apartment. I chose this Panasonic one because (1) I am familiar with the brand, (2) I needed one w that I could connect to both my tv and to my receiver. Although my receiver is a bit older and doesn’t output Dolby atmos, I wanted a player that could output atmos in case I purchase a new receiver. I’m very happy with my choice

I spent a lot of time researching the best player for my 4K TV. I am in aw of how good 4K movies look on this 4K player rather than streaming a 4K movie. My only problem is with the remote. The arrow buttons are too close to other buttons. If I’m not looking at the remote there is a good chance I may accidentally hit the wrong button. Other than that, I love this player!!

I've had it for a few months now and it's been working great. My 4k movies looks just stunning on my OLED TV using this player.

Nice dvd player and I have not found a dvd it doesn’t play. Picture is also crisp and clear.

It's a great player, beautiful picture, fantastic audio. I bought this open box excellent condition no dents or but mine has a dent so it should have been less cost. It's not excellent condition it's good condition.

If you do some research on 4K blu-ray disc players, you will quickly discover that many 4K disc players either skip or freeze often when playing 4K discs, even though the players are 4K Ultra HD disc players. This Panasonic unit plays my 4K discs smoothly. And this player comes with a full-size remote. Something the other brands don't offer! I recommend this player highly you will not be disappointed!

Solid 4k bluray player. Quiet and solid. Been using for two months now with 0 issues. Would buy again!

I heard great things about this, and it has not disappointed. I had a Sony x-800, and was pleased with it, but I feel this outperform’s it. Great PQ and Audio on this unit. So far I’m digging it! I also love how you can have your own custom wallpaper.

So glad I bought this. My Xbox One couldn’t play more than half of the 4K discs I tried to watch, but this player is exactly what I needed. Plays everything perfectly and in stunning 4K quality. It also upscales my standard Blu-ray Discs to 4K quality and always does an incredible job. Highly recommended!

Purchased this 4K HDR player to take advantages of my new OLED TV. Built in HDR optimizer works which made pictures super brighter and vivid. Only complaint is the built in YouTube can't make HDR work.

Excellent Blu-ray player for the money. Got it as open boxed but it didn't include a remote which wasn't a problem since I'm using a universal remote.

Got two of these Panasonic player and they are great. What a difference in color from my regular old DVD players I had. Best thing I got them on sale.

DVD player compact nice remote that works. I like that the open shut button is easy to find. Make sure your cable is good for 18 bts transfer speed. I had a cable installed and my Samsung tv has a option to check cable connections sure enough it wasn’t any good. I didn’t think a dvd cable could be bad?
