I have not activated my unit yet, but through my research, as I understand it, ALL physical media player manufacturers are on their way to ending relationships and support for most onboard streaming applications as the production for said players of PHYSICAL/TANGIBLE media " i.e. DVD & Standard Blu Ray " continues its decline in favor of the 4K/UHD Disk players " Which will eventually disappear as well " and STRICTLY streaming and/or cloud based streaming players ( Such as Amazon Fire, ROKU, Google Home, PC media center applications and the like ) start to take prevalence along with streaming subscription and non-subscription services with casting-to-TV via Bluetooth and/or WiFi capable devices. In fact, most players of this type will, through software updates, arbitrarily and mandatorily systematically delete applications as support declines. The primary reason however for my purchase of this unit, was the fact that over the years I have amassed a collection of several thousand titles on disc with only a few hundred stored in the cloud.
