Yes, there is only one bean hopper. Expresso and Expresso + more water= americano. Expresso+ milk° cappuccino. Expresso with more milk= latte. Basically it's an Expresso machine that adds more water or milk
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.There is a compartment for whole beans and a separate compartment for ground coffee. However, you can make both espresso and coffee based drinks with either. For either drink option, the machine can grind the whole beans or use the ground coffee.

I bought Italian beans called cafe grano and cafe gusto. The paperwork says avoid dark roast beans with oil because it harms machine. So I think the answer is get beans that can make multiple types. I have made lattes and cappacino so far in the three days I’ve had mine operating.
