A:Answer I wondered the same thing before I purchased this machine, and I found a great video on YouTube with a Philips rep. On this model, Philips replaced the Americano button with an Iced Coffee button that brews espresso at a lower temperature with a longer pull (so it doesn't melt ice as quickly). However, a user may still make an Americano by brewing an espresso shot and then using the Hot Water button.
