“I can’t seem to find many reviews mentioning hot water. When I use it, even when holding the cup up to the dispenser it spits hot water everywhere. Is there something wrong with mine or this is just how it functions? For the price I would expect more.”

The water nozzle is hidden behind the milk froth container. You need to remove the container to get hot water.
