No, each hub can control up to 50 bulbs.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would recommend this kit to get started. It is typically the cheapest way to get 3 bulbs and the Bridge Hue. Depending where the bulbs are located and how big your place is, will depend if you need more than one Hue Bridge. The Hue Bridge is the device that communicates between the Hue apps and the bulbs or light strip. You will need to be on the same wifi network as your hue bridge to modify bulb colors or routines. Hopefully this helps.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am not aware of any particular limit to the number of bulbs per hub. However, I do know my single hub controls multiple lights in multiple rooms across multiple floors in my home. I think that is roughly twenty different devices.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I believe each control unit does have a maximum amount of bulbs it will control. It should say during set up or in the instructions. A kit is sometimes cheaper when sales occur and the come with extra switches and control units.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I currently have nine bulbs, a Hue Go, and two Hue Plays set up to the same Hub. I’m not sure if there are any limits to the amount of bulbs you can link to it. If money weren’t an issue, I’d outfit my entire home in the Hue Ecosystem. My dining room light has six candle bulbs. At the current price of $50 a pop, that’s too cost prohibitive! Would also like Hue bulbs in recessed lighting. Sigh...if only I was a millionaire (yep, millionaire not billionaire...I’m not greedy).
