• No, I bought the same dimmer only to find I needed a Phillips hub to use the remote as it can't be paired directly with the Echo Plus.

• I am pretty sure you will need the hub. Don't know about the Philips dimmer switch, but you might check out the Philips App and see if the dimmer switch is listed as a option.
