• They are equivalent to a 60 what incandescent bulb. Would depend on size of the recessed can you might check some of the other models they make that might be more suitable.

• Yes they do. I had 40 watt bulbs in my recessed cans and replaced them with these. The brightness is the same. I am very pleased with the new lights.
