Does the color strip itself plug in? null

This product is just an extension to the primary Phillips Hue - Base Kit and Bluetooth which has to be plugged into a wall outlet.

The base kit connects to a power adapter which connects to a power cable and that connects to a power brick that plugs into a wall outlet. The extension kit must be connected to the base kit to work.

This particular light strip is an extension and does not plug into power directly. You need one of the starter strips to plug into power and then this will extend it by connecting to one of the starters.
